What is the etymology of monoboob?

It was one of the automatically generated alternatives to a site that I was hoping for. The site was taken, so monoboob came up as an option. After I created the site I found out that some women who have had mastectomies call themselves monoboobs. As far as I know, it’s not a derogatory word. Besides it’s a funny name. So even if you have one breast, please enjoy this site.
